Just made a DVD of music videos, mostly the Mac of course. I must say though, that Shakira’s “Did It Again” has been in heavy rotation on my Ipod for many months now. It’s very catchy, and I find myself watching the music video constantly. “Set your goals, bless our souls. I’m in trouble, but it feels like heaven.” She to me, is a very underrated song-writer. While this example may be mediocre at best, her album Oral Fixation Vol. 2 is a very solid piece of work.
Among other things, I watched Stevie’s White Winged Dove performance for the billionth time, and it never gets old. She was not yet ready to bust out of her shell, but she was still very fierce when performing EO17. As she would still to this day.
I already have a tattoo on my right arm of the dragon “s” from the cover of Stevie Nicks’ most recent solo album Trouble In Shangri-La. Now I’m wanting a second tat, and I’m naturally considering another Mac/Stevie one. I’m pretty sure that how its going to be, is across the top of my back. Starting at my left shoulder blade, “Mac/stevie lyric” Sankofa symbol (my profile picture) in the center of my back, then on my right shoulder blade “its just one more link in the chain”. So, the trouble is deciding on what the first lyric will be. I’m really feeling “Break the silence, damn the dark, damn the light” since it obviously flows well with the other lyric. Any input?
